Identification markers

An identification marker (either Lifechip (Indexel) or Datamars microchip or tattoo) has been compulsory in all official Finnish Kennel Club dog trials and competitions since 1.1.2001. Starting from 1.1.2009, the Finnish Kennel Club has approved all microchips compliant with the ISO 11789 standard that do not contain a country code. ISO 11784 standard compliant chips were approved on 1.6.2009.

Control measurement

According to the decision of the CdL commission on 21 June 2013 Whippets and Italian Greyhounds will be remeasured in height for size control. The CdL delegate has the competence to exclude dogs from the Championship that are not in accordance with the given height at the withers as stated in the FCI rulebook. Dog owners who refuse the remeasurement are automatically excluded from the Championship. Appeal against the decision of the CdL delegate is not possible. By entering to the Championship the owner has been notified of the CdL decision.

Admission

Maximum 6 dogs per country, per breed and sex. In addition the European Champions of the previous year can defend their title and be entered in addition to the maximum permissible participants.

§ 4.10: If there are less than 6 dogs of a breed participating, there will not be a title. However, in special circumstances the FCI/CdL-delegate can decide, after consulting the judges, to adjudge a title.
